Shade was Best Puppy in Sweeps at the Flat-Coated Retrievers Society of Canada National Specialty 2000. She has also been awarded two Specialty JAMs (Judge's Awards Of Merit) at National Speciaties in 2002 and as a Veteran by Specialty Judge Per Iverson of Norway in 2006. Shade has also been awarded Sporting Group placements at all breed dog shows. Shade is the mother of the Coastalight "Fire" and Coastalight "Moon" litters.
